 Created in the North Mississippi Delta by guys who know and live good tone, we have gone to great pains, spent countless hours in design, research and development, and basically pulled our hair out to bring you the highest quality guitar pickups at more affordable prices.

 Fat Tone Pickups are designed and engineered in the USA and are constructed with only the highest quality materials and winding techniques. We use laser cut fiberboard and poly carbonate bobbins, Copper Clad Ferrous or Solid Nickel Silver Base Plates, Triple Plated, solid Nickel Covers, Heavy Formvar and Enamel 42 coated wire, Sand Casted Ceramic and Alnico Magnets and Vintage Pre-Tinned (throughout) Cloth and Braided Shield Cloth Wire. Pickups are wound and potted in Seoul, Korea by Samsung Music, a small shop pickup maker with 20 + years experience in making pickups for some of the largest USA OEM manufacturers in the world.

We believe in the concept that if the design, formula and materials are right and the winding is done right, that it shouldn’t matter where the winding machines are located.
