Our Fat Bottom Bass pickups are direct P and J style replacements. We start with a high quality Fiberboard Bobbin, then wind with Era Correct Enamel 42 wire and use only the highest quality Sand Casted Alnico 5 Rod magnets and Vintage Black and White Cloth Leads. We offer the Fat Bottom Bass pickups in Vintage and Super output levels. Believe it or not, our Fat Bottom Bass Pickups have very low hum and noise compared to most single coil pickups.

Vintage Fat Bottom P – Vintage output. This pickup is warm, round and smooth, the way a Fat Bottom should be. The perfect pickup for traditional country and smokey, blues tones.

Super Fat Bottom P – Wound a little hotter than vintage output. This pickup delivers a bit more cushion for the pushin. Rich, round bottom end depth with great midrange grind and clear top end detail without being muddy. Great for Hotter Blues, Classic Rock and Hard Rock tones.

Vintage Fat Bottom J – Vintage style Jazz Bass single coil output. This pickup delivers warm, tight lows, punchy, yet balanced midrange and a clean, clear top end. The neck position pickup is Reverse Wound for hum cancelling when both positions are used. Great for Pop, Country, Blues or Classic Rock.

Super Fat Bottom J – A slightly overwound version of the Fat Bottom J Vintage. This pickup lends up enough output and grit to cut through any mix with fat, tight lows, increased Midrange punch, and clear top end.
