Our Fat Model SS is a direct Single coil replacement. We start with a high quality, lazer cut Fiberboard Bobbin, then wind with Era Correct Heavy Formvar 42 wire and use only the highest quality Sand Casted Beveled Alnico 5 Rod magnets and Vintage Pre-Tinned Through, Black and White Cloth Leads. We offer the Fat Model SS in 3 different output levels with choice of Cream, Black or White covers. The Middle position pickup is Reverse Wound, Reverse Polarity (RWRP) for noise cancellation in the 2 and 4 positions. Believe it or not, our Fat Model SS has very low hum and noise compared to most single coil pickups.

Vintage Fat Model SS - Vintage Single Coil style output. This pickup has a clear, balanced, bell like chime with rich, round bottom end and that sweet, clear top end sparkle you just can’t live without. Perfect for those early 50’s to 60’s vintage single coil tones.

Super Fat Model SS - Slightly more overwound than the Vintage Model, this pickup has a slightly increased output with rich, round bottom end and little more midrange punch to cut through the mix while retaining the top end clarity and sparkle. Great for Clean, Aggressive Blues, Classic Rock and slide tones. This is our favorite Fat Model SS for Texas Blues styles in the middle and neck positions.

Hot Fat Model SS – The hottest Fat Model SS. This is a much higher output pickup with a tighter bottom end, a slightly bigger midrange and still a great top end sparkle with a lot more attack than the others. Great for players who want to cross over from traditional Classic Rock and Blues to Grunge and Hard Rock. Our favorite Fat Model SS for the Bridge positon to balance with the Super Fat Model SS in the neck / middle.
