Our Fat Bucker is just that. A good ole fat sounding humbucker. We start with a high grade Nickel / Silver Bottom Plate, then wind with Era Correct Plain Enamel 42 wire on poly carbonate bobbins and use, only the highest quality Sand Casted Alnico 5 or ceramic magnets. Humbucker covers are made from high quality nickel silver and are triple plated for a clean and durable finish. We offer several models with different magnet types and outputs as well as single and four conductor wiring to meet the demands of just about any player. They are available in Black, White, and Zebra exposed bobbins, as well as Nickel, Chrome and Gold Covers.

Vintage Fat Bucker - Wound with Alnico 5 magnets to vintage PAF style output, this pickup has a clear, balanced, rich tone with tight bottom end, even midrange and a clear top end. Perfect for those vintage humbucking sounds of yesteryear.

Super Fat Bucker - Wound with Alnico 5 magnets and a little hotter than the Vintage Model, this pickup has an increased output with just a bit of grind, tight bottom end and good midrange growl to cut through while retaining the top end clarity. Roll the volume down a little and it’s clean again. Great for 70’s style Classic Rock to the “Brown Sound”.

Hot Fat Bucker – Wound with Alnico 5 magnets and even hotter than the Super Model, this is a high output pickup with a good bit drive, tight bottom end, a bigger midrange bump and a little less top end clarity with a little more attack than the others. Great for players who want higher output for crunch but don’t want to sacrifice their lead tone.  Bridge Output - 14.5k

 

Modern Fat Bucker – Wound with Ceramic magnets and hotter than Hot, this pickup is high output with great distortion drive. The ceramic magnets provide a tighter crunch and less midrange with more top end sizzle and brutal attack when used with high-gain amplifiers. Great for modern Alt / Rock to Heavy Metal. Available only as a Bridge Model.

Scream Bucker – Wound with Ceramic magnets, this pickup is for those people who just can’t seem to get enough. A serious punch in the face with more than enough heat to do with as you please. Fat bottom end, a little more midrange than the Modern and extreme attack for those who want Heavy but still want to solo. “Use at Your Own Risk”. Available only as a Bridge Model.
